A WORKING MOM
I never dreamed I'd be a working mom. Funny right?! I was going to be a stay-at-home mom. When I was little I wanted to be a teacher, type write lady like my Grandma, etc. I always had something I was going to do growing up, but I was going to have a family and be a stay-at-home mom.
But sometimes that call on your heart is just too strong to ignore.
This was given to me last spring. I've worked so hard to get to where I'm at. Personally and professionally. I've read so many books, listened to so many podcasts, and I try to apply what I learn. It's taken me 14 years to get to this point. 14 years of working, trying, failing, wondering my purpose and when I'd find it. 14 years of wanting my own business. 14 years of also wanting to provide for my family.
Being a working mom means I stay up late and I get up early. I work when I can and also set aside time to work by having a babysitter. Being an entrepreneur working mom means some days I don't work and family time comes first.
This "work" rarely feels like work to me because it's my hobby and passion. But when I look back, I realize just how hard I've worked. There have been so many late nights, early mornings, crazy afternoons to get where we are today. And we still have so much to do!
Sometimes it's a hard path but I know it will be worth it. That spring day keeps me going. My son keeps me going. I keep me going because I get it. I know what I'm creating and the difference it will make in so many lives. I don't know that I comprehend that fully but I KNOW I'm not the only one.
I can't wait for you to come and ALL of your children will be able to play. I can't wait for you to come and relax on the couch with your favorite drink while your children are learning through play. I can't wait to offer you a space where parents with children of all abilities come together to enjoy one another and for parents to rejuvenate.
